Utah Part 2

We decided to extend our trip in Park City so the boys could actually get out and ski/snow board some. I also got to spend some much needed time with my best friend, Jenn. We hiked Armstrong trail every morning at 7 am - it was still dark when we started. Her sweet puppy, Ellie, loved our morning hikes. While I was hiking and spending some time with Jenn, the boys decided to take ski and snowboard lessons. Finn wanted to learn snowboarding and Nash skiing. The boys each had 3 hour lessons every day for 3 days in a row. I assumed Nash would tire out, but he absolutely loved it. On Saturday, Jan 27th, we decided to take the boys on a road trip from Park City to Bryce National Canyon then to Zions National Park, Las Vegas and finally ending in L.A. before flying back home to PA. This was our first time to Southern Utah in the winter and I must say, it is now my favorite time to visit this area! The parks were not nearly as busy as they get in the summer and the hiking is still incredible. The red colors of the hoodoos with the white snow contrast was breath taking! The boys collected their junior ranger badges at each of the parks and ended up hiking a good bit! Once we left Zions we left nature to torture the kids in the most artificial environment man has every made - Las Vegas Blvd. We took the boys to an early Blue Man group show one night and then a magic show the next. The hotel was super nice but that's all we liked about Vegas. Over priced, dirty and crowded is a good description of this place. I was happy to get outta there!
